Electric Vehicle Mission-Based Strategy Board Game

I’m excited and happy right now to announce that I have just created an electric vehicle board game called Charged.

Before you ask where you can get it I’ll stop you right there, it is not in stores at this moment.  I have created the design and art already, just not lifted off the ground from a prototype game to a full retail board game.

I know what you are probably thinking right now, so what do I do just drive around a board?  In a way, yes, but that isn’t the main goal of the game. There are aspects of different popular board games that I like along with aspects that I don’t like.

One of the most frustrating things I find playing the same board game with my friends is that there is one person that has figured out a strategy. And this strategy seems to work the majority of the time even if you know that they are using this method.  It takes the fun out of the game.

What sets Charged apart from other board games is not only the electric vehicle focus but the various ways you can earn victory points to win the game.  Each player has their own set of missions that they can complete in order to earn a certain amount of victory points.

At the beginning of the game, you draw your missions along with everyone else.  Every player has their own objectives that they are trying to meet to complete their mission.

This way you can’t have a set strategy at the beginning of the game that will work each and every time, like some people I know.  If you choose to have a strategy other than completing your own missions, then it ends up being more like playing poker, which is more important to play other people’s cards.

Though you might not see what their missions are, actions speak louder than words.  Over the course of the game, the other players will show their movements on the board and their choice of charging station placement.

I want to get this game off the ground and into retail stores nationwide and eventually worldwide.  That is why I am starting a Kickstarter campaign to get this the kick into the world.
